A Lasting Power of Attorney, or LPA, is an important legal document that allows you to choose, in advance, other people who you trust to make decisions on your behalf should you no longer be able to make them yourself. We work in partnership with a specialist and trusted later life organisation to give you peace of mind for you and your family.
There are two different types of LPA available:
- Property and Financial Affairs
Nominate someone to make decisions about your finances and ownership of property.
- Health and Welfare
Nominate someone to make decisions about any healthcare you may need in the future.
You can only set up an LPA while you have the mental ability to do so. If you do not have an LPA in place and you do have an accident, illness or your mental capacity changes, it will usually be too late.
